Crafty Egg Time

If you are looking for a quick and simple Easter craft to do with the kids this weekend then I have the perfect thing for you ‘Metallic Easter Eggs’. You can pick up the little kits in most crafty shops; I actually picked mine up from a very budget super market for a couple of pounds.

What you will need

 Eggs (always free range)

 Dyes

Protective gloves

Newspaper

Silver metallic paper

Firstly you will need to boil your eggs for 10 minutes until they are hard boiled

While your eggs are boiling fill a cup with boiling water and put your 3 dyes in the hot water so they can become soft

Remove eggs one by one from boiling water, pat dry.

Cut the end off one dye and put 15 drops in your hand, then roll the egg in the dye until it is completely covered

Make sure the egg is still sticky and then cover it in the silver paper, use a spoon to press the paper down so it sticks on the egg.

Repeat this process with the remaining colours and eggs.

Something else that was interesting was after my youngest removed the shell from two eggs he discovered they actually looked like dinosaur eggs which he found a lot of fun!!

I also could not resist creating this little guy, I saw a similar thing on a blog yesterday and I just had to give it ago, so go on get crafty for Easter!!

I get asked a lot of the time by my friends how they can make the most of their small bathroom space, just because you have to compromise on size does not mean you have to compromise on style. One of the most efficient ways to use the space to it's full potential is by using a bathroom suite that fits your bathroom. Traditionally  basins and toilets were large and took up half the bathrooms space but now with the clever invention of wall hung toilets and vanity basins (that double up as storage space) we can still get everything we would like in our bathroom and also still have room to manoeuvre. Another great idea is to remove your bathtub and replace it with a walk in shower, this increases floor space and with many of us having more than one bathtub in the house it is much more efficient to use the space for a shower. When it comes to the bathroom many of us opt for cool calm colours to create a relaxing environment to unwind in, but when you fancy a change and want to create a little style in your bathroom then why not opt for brilliant bold designs. Something I often suggest to friends looking to update their magnolia bathroom space is to create a feature wall, this way you can still keep your white suite but you will create a completely new look for your room.
